The IRCC announced in their twitter feed immediate lessening of the rules as to who is allowed entry into Canada. It is now the Canadian government policy for IRCC to allow the entry into Canada of all immediate family members of Canadian citizens and Permanent Residents of Canada regardless of the reason for their travel into Canada. They will have to self isolate for 14 days but at least these close family members can join their loved ones in Canada. This is a very overdue welcome relief for close family members, many of whom have been stuck at various locations around the world.
