The following update is for individuals whose Postgraduate Work Permits (PGWPs) expired recently or will expire soon:
There is a new public policy which allows holders of recently expired or soon-to-expire PGWPs to apply for new work permits and restore status. Those who fall within the specific time period defined by IRCC may be eligible to restore their status and obtain a new work permit.
You may be eligible to apply from abroad even if you have already left Canada. Please note that IRCC must approve your application before you return to Canada.
