As of November 21, 2020, everyone entering Canada as a final destination must use the ArriveCAN app to submit travel and contact information plans for quarantine and COVID-19 symptom self-assessments.
The ArriveCAN app must be used before you board your flight to Canada at least 90 days before your flight. If you are using ArriveCAN online instead of the app, you can use it up to 14 days before your flight.
You must be ready to show the receipt to a Canadian border service officer in either a screenshot or as a printout.
Don’t have a smartphone? Sign in online and submit your information before you leave. If you do not have a computer or smartphone you can go to a library or Internet café to go online to ArriveCAN and submit your information. Click here for more information.
What if you do not submit your information through ArriveCAN? If you do not submit your information you may face delays at the border for public health questioning and receive enforcement actions with could be up to $1,000 in fines.
Other Requirements Once in Canada
As of November 21, 2020, all travelers who have entered Canada by land, sea or air, must report daily to confirm that you have arrived at the address you provided for your quarantine and complete a daily COVID-19 symptom self-assessment until the completion of your quarantine.
